Based in the eclectic east side of Los Angeles, Miss Ellen’s Music is a licensee of the World Citizen Baby music program. WCB is an immersion in melodies, rhythms, and languages from around the world, for infants and toddlers and their parents and/or caregivers. We playfully explore different musical traditions using call and response singing, drumming, rhythm instruments, and creative movement. We give parents and children a place to grow musically, and to develop their own personal communities, while honoring our global community.
Ellen brings a lively energy and enthusiasm to the beloved World Citizen Baby program. Her emphasis in class is on singing, dancing, and most of all having a great time bonding with your child through music.
Ellen, aka “Miss Ellen”, worked as a commercial and TV producer for nearly 20 years before turning her sights onto music for children in 2006. She and her husband formed the kindie-rock band Ellen and Matt, and recorded and released two CDs of original rock and roll music for kids. They received critical acclaim, and developed their beloved fan base, playing frequent shows on both coasts. In 2009, Ellen became a licensed Music Together teacher and started teaching full time.
Since then, with the birth of Miss Ellen’s Music, Ellen has created developmental programs for music schools, preschools, and outreach programs for low-income communities.
Now, with World Citizen Baby, Ellen is thrilled to be continuing the journey of doing what she loves – sharing her passion for music with parents and children everywhere!
